Birding Japan in the Papers
This site is for all those who wish to visit the islands of Japan, to see the wealth of birdlife there. We offer a range of birdwatching tours to observe the birding spectacles of this enigmatic country.

In winter, there are the famous gatherings of cranes, which can be seen dancing in the snow, as well as large numbers of the the spectacular Steller's Sea Eagle, together and in competition with, their White-tailed cousins.

At any time of year, the huge Blakiston's Fish Owl can be seen, and the Ryukyu and Izu Islands hold threatened endemic species.

Japanbirding.com is part of Sarus Bird Tours, formed based on the success of our Japan tours. Each year, we probably run more Japan birding tours than any birding tour company, and this site allows these specialist tours to be shown.
